A bespoke Kat In A Hat begins with you — the occasion, what you’re wearing, what catches your eye, and most importantly, how you want to feel when you walk into the room.
From there, we’ll explore silhouette, proportion, color, materials, and the unexpected details that make the finished piece unmistakably yours. Each commission is designed and made by hand using traditional millinery techniques and is priced individually according to design, materials, and complexity.
Bespoke commissions begin at $700. A non-refundable 50% deposit reserves your commission and begins the design process. If you have something special on the calendar, tell me a little about it below.

Once your inquiry arrives, I’ll personally review your event date, inspiration, and everything you’ve shared. If the commission looks like a good fit and the timing works, I’ll be in touch to arrange a private design consultation.
That’s where we’ll talk through your look, explore silhouette, proportion, materials and all those little details that turn an idea into your hat. Plan for approximately 30–60 minutes so we have plenty of time to explore your ideas without feeling rushed.
